Similes

I like writing similes. I know I can use as and an adjective to compare myself to something else.

Gymnastics

At gymnastics I am good at jumping on the spring board. And landing on the mat.It is hard to walk backwards on the beam.

I like reading non-fiction books because I can learn about things. I can get better at reading by reading more books.

Contractions

It is a little bit easy to spot a contraction in stories now. I know it is when 2 words are joined together and the apostrophe means letters are missing.

Using describing words

Here I was learning to use describing words and I liked colouring them in.  I used 7 adjectives.  It was a bit hard to type the words and find the right letters but the teacher helped me.

Compound words

It is easy to read compound words now. Sometimes it is hard to sound them out. I can ask my friend to help me.

Fractions

I am learning about half and quarter.  I can show half and quarter of a shape and a group.  It is hard to write 1/4 in numbers I need to practice this.

I am learning to count backwards from 20

My weekend story

I am learning to put my capital letters and full stops in the right places.  I usually start a sentence with a capital letter and put a full stop at the end but sometimes I forget.

Word families

I like making word families.  I know they have the same middle and end sounds.  It is easy because they rhyme.
